what is client netware, it is stopping me from using a pasword to my windows xp start up?

when i try to pw protect my windows xp on my hp laptop, i get messge that says to unistall clientnetware , i hesitate to do this, i think it maybe a necessary program to keep on my computer. what is this all about, what is client netware, why do we need it or not need it. help pleaase, thank you

you can safely uninstall netware – unless you are using it for access at college or work
